A Trek across Norway’s largest Plateau
In March 2027, an extraordinary team will attempt something never done before. An unsupported, world-first Arctic crossing by four wounded veterans — three double amputees and one single amputee — all former UK Armed Forces personnel, all elite Para athletes, and all united by a refusal to accept limits.
This is far more than an expedition. It’s a statement.
Across more than 100 kilometres of unforgiving Arctic wilderness, the team will traverse the vast Finnmarksvidda plateau — one of Europe’s most remote and exposed environments In temperatures that can plunge below -30°C, they will move entirely unsupported — no resupply, no safety net, no easy way out. Every metre forward will be earned through resilience, teamwork, and sheer determination. This is endurance in its purest form, physical, mental, and emotional.
We’re proud to share that IDAD will be supporting the expedition, with our Sales Director, Terry Dixon, taking part in this remarkable challenge. His involvement reflects the spirit of the entire team — resilience, professionalism, and an unshakable drive to push beyond perceived limits.
But the true purpose runs deeper than the ice beneath their skis.
This expedition is about challenging perceptions — proving that injury does not define capability, and that adversity can be a starting point, not an ending. It’s about inspiring others facing their own battles and showing what’s possible when courage meets purpose.
At its heart, this journey is also about giving back. The team will be raising funds for the Armed Forces Para Snowsport Team (AFPST), supporting the recovery and rehabilitation of injured veterans through adaptive sport — helping individuals rebuild strength, confidence, and a renewed sense of purpose after life-changing injuries.
We are actively seeking support to help make this expedition a success — both through sponsorship of equipment and resources, and through charitable contributions. Organisations and individuals alike have an opportunity to align with a powerful story of human resilience, while directly supporting a cause that delivers real and lasting impact.
Every contribution helps drive this mission forward — on the ice and beyond it.
This is a rare chance to support something genuinely meaningful, A bold test of endurance, a world-first achievement, and a platform for positive change.
